5 UBC blogs to follow

One of the nicest aspects of participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge is finding some blogs to follow going forward. I’ve been trying to find blogs in my niche, about living better with aphasia and apraxia of speech after stroke, but I haven’t found many. The five sites I will highlight have information about general life that I’ve found helpful to me at this point of my life/recovery.

Kebba Buckley Button’s blog about stress and healing. HTTPS://kebbabutton.wordpress.com

i particularly liked the day 25 post. “ Today, i’m sharing one word chants!”

Jeanine‘s Gingerbread Cottage. Www.jeaninesgingerbreadcottage.com In this blog Jeanine shares tips on how to live a slow life. Ever since having to ”retire” in February 2019, I have been trying to live my best slow life.

Florence Callender’s Education blog. www.florencecallender.com

Even though the focus is success for children, I find the information helps me as I think about ways to improve my academic success; reading, writing and studying.

Wyn Fox‘s counseling and coaching. www.wynfoxcounseling.com I believe I’ve seen that 80% of people who‘ve had a stroke experience some kind of depression. When I first went to the neurologist he stressed that I needed to be aware of any depression and address it. check out this post

Victoria Juster’s essays focus on everyday concerns.victoriajuster.com

Several of her recent posts resonated with some challenges I have experienced in my recovery. Check out this post. HTTPS://victoriajuster.com/2021/challenges/

I’m still interested in following blogs about stroke recovery or about living life fully with aphasia and apraxia of speech. Please share other blogs I should follow. Thanks!
