🌿 Day 8

Affirmation: I deserve a supportive team. My voice matters, and I am allowed to ask for the care I need.

🌱 Intention: Today, I will take one small step toward strengthening my recovery team — asking a question, writing a note, or letting someone support me.

💭 Reflection: After my stroke, I learned that recovery doesn’t happen alone. It takes many people — doctors, therapists, peers, and loved ones — each bringing something important. Building my “A-Team” wasn’t easy, especially with aphasia and apraxia of speech. But every time I spoke up, asked for help, or said, “This isn’t working,” I grew stronger. Advocacy is not being difficult — it is being brave. Even one supportive person can change the path forward. Over time, step by step, a team forms — and so does confidence.
